Retail Therapy – or is it?

With Christmas approaching, hitting the Shops is something that starts to become more of a chore than anything else.

For me, Shopping is usually a Hobby that’s usually reserved for the odd weekend once a month or a quick browse on my Phone every so often whilst I commute.
But I’m not one of those people who can just go Shopping for the sake of it.

Nor am I one who loves to go with other people. There, I’ve said it. *

* (Only exception to this rule is my Nan – we love being Bus W*nkers together and being a retired colleague of Mark’s and Spencer, her discount card comes in very handy)

The operationally-minded me will only make the trip if there’s at least one thing on my list (yes, there’s ALWAYS a list) to head out and buy.

And with regards to shopping on my own – It’s nothing personal to anyone – I just really like my own company and prefer getting to where I need to, get what I need and then getting the hell out of there!

I just cannot be bothered with wandering around Kingston or Staines, aimlessly inventing things that suddenly I ‘need to buy’. You tend to end up buying a load of stuff you don’t bloody need or bits that you just end up needing to return a few days later.

(Feel free to raise your hands at any point if any of this sounds familiar…)

To save myself even more faff, I tend to do my homework. So before I even get in my Car or step on the Bus, I’ve already done my research online, scanning several different Shops, checking what’s out there that I need and done a spot of price checking…

I think you’ve heard enough about me for one post, so now it’s your turn.

Do you have any crazy habits like me or do you like nothing more than taking yourself for a general mooch round the shops?

Are you a savvy Shopper or a low-key Looker? Do you love to lurk or would you rather stay at home and #getshitdone from the comfort of your Sofa?

Let me know in the comments 🙂
