Saying YES to the Dress: Pt 2

So after thinking I had found ‘The One’ on two different occasions, the search continued…

A few weeks after I visited Sassi Holford, I had seen a sponsored post on Facebook by a company called Wed2b. Their prices seemed too good to be true. So much so that I had initially assumed it was really some overseas company posing as a UK based retailer. But after checking out their Store locator I couldn’t have been more wrong…

At the time, a school friend of mine had recently got married and she had purchased her own gown from Wed2b. She went on to tell me how easy her experience was and the fact that you didn’t even need to make an appointment!
Seeing as I had nothing to lose (and only 9 months left to go) it was off to Bromley I went.

My first impressions were very positive! Their Bromley store is a great size and its basement level is dedicated to eveningwear and Bridesmaid dresses. There were at least couple of racks for each Dress size each boasting all different styles.

Being a Saturday I expected it to be busy, and to prevent overwhelming yourself they allow you to try on up to three dresses at a time.

When looking for a dress, it can be a stressful time. You want to feel comfortable when trying them on, you don’t want to feel rushed into making what could be the wrong decision and you certainly don’t want to be given dresses to try on that are purposely out of your price range.

Personally the whole Wed2b experience was everything that that I wanted it to be. With no need to make an appointment I was free from any time restrictions, the assistants there were not invasive and pressurising, plus you got to pick out your own dresses, which were all clearly priced – putting you in control of your budget!

The part that I particularly enjoyed the most was trying on dresses that were already in my usual size, so my usual challenge of trying to see beyond the alterations wasn’t something I had to deal with here!

It was during my second visit to the dressing room that I really had found ‘The One’! The 1215 by Anna Serrano is an simple yet stunning Satin A-line Dress complete with a lovely Train and intricate lace on the Bodice. It laces up at the back meaning it could be made as tight as I needed it to be and it fitted my frame perfectly with not a Clamp in sight!

As the assistant placed a Veil into my hair and tied a diamanté belt around the waist my Mum, Nan and I just knew it was the one. I remember feeling so elegant! It was perfect for me and I could just picture myself walking down the Aisle at Farnham Castle. Me, in a STRAPLESS dress! Who would have thought?!

Within half an hour I was walking back to my car, carrying my Wedding Dress and beaming from ear to ear!

And by only spending £430*, I had used just under half of my original dress budget, meaning we could very comfortably go on to book our Videographer! Ka-Ching!

*Price quoted was valid during January 2016

Here’s a quick closeup of the finished look, which I will go into more detail about a future post… so Stay tuned!

So that’s my experience of finding ‘The One’. I honestly cannot recommend Wed2B enough to all Brides to be. To find your nearest Store, check out their website online for more information (you’re welcome!)

Happy Hunting!
