Mani and Lola Unboxing – June 2018

Hi Everyone, I recently received my first delivery from Mani and Lola and in this post I’m not just reviewing June’s edit but introducing you to the guys and how you can get your hands on your very own ‘to me, from me’ monthly treat!

Who are Mani and Lola?

I found Mani and Lola through Instagram. I had seen similar beauty subscriptions such as Birchbox, GlossyBox and LatestInBeauty however being such a huge fan of Nail Polish this was the one I would get the most use of.

Mani and Lola are the UK’s number one nail care subscription service and being such a Nail addict, I couldn’t resist checking them out!

Since November 2017, these guys are passionate about encouraging us to take care of our nails whilst living life in the fast lane by bringing products from the best brands in the industry, direct to our door every month. Each box contains at least £60 worth of products which you can get for £20 – a third of the cost!

Their stylish website, Blog and Instagram feed shows us boxes from the previous few months and how to get the most from your goodies… and how can I forgot to mention the gorgeous Lola who is their furry mascot who I’m pretty sure is in charge!

I mean, who can resist this little face?

So Nat… what was in June’s Box?

First things first, look at this stylish packaging! It’s all so pretty that I didn’t even want to break the seal. You could always reuse their boxes to store your makeup, hair accessories or even any crafty bits. Being the start of summer, I was expecting some polishes that would really get me in the mood for those longer days and warmer evenings and I definitely wasn’t disappointed!

Zoya Nail Polish in Shelby

collagetestThis bright pink shade wouldn’t look out of place on Holiday and reminds me of that sweet pink you get on a Neapolitan Ice Cream (Hmm…Ice Cream!). I was so pleased to finally get my hands on a Zoya polish having seen them being used on so many tutorials on Youtube and Instagram. Being a paler shade I did need three coats to achieve the perfect finish but it was worth waiting for!

CND Vinylux Polish in Offbeat

I had seen Vinylux on CND’s Instagram page and in my favourite Salon Sparkle with Beauty but had always been a Shellac girl. So I basically squealed like a Pig when I spotted the CND logo (sorry, not sorry!) and then got even more excited when I realised that this was a shade from their stunning 2018 Boho Spirit collection!

It’s a gorgeous summer shade and I recently wore this for a Wedding and went very nicely with my floral dress. Their Boho Spirit collection are perfect for summer holiday, girls night out or date night and Offbeat is no exception.

Wedding Guest Ready!

Also in the box was their Weekly Top Coat meaning I could crack on and try out Vinylux straight away!

Orly White Tips Polish

The French manicure is a classic look. It compliments any occasion, outfit and mood and can be worn all year round. Orly have perfected this look with their White Tips polish and you can also wear it on the whole Nail as a great base for Nail Art designs. Overall, its a staple item for any manicurist!

So those are the polishes, now for some tools of the trade!

Essie Cuticle Oil

If there’s one good habit to get into when it comes to caring for your nails, its the regular use of Cuticle oil. This stuff not only keeps skin hydrated but also encourages your Nails to grow faster and stronger. You can apply this daily to this area of your Nail but I usually manage to use this every other day and it smells of Apricot!

Cuticle oil isn’t just for your fingers! You can also use it for your Toes and is an essential step of the Pedicure treatment. Which brings us nicely onto the last item in this month’s box…

NPD Foot File

As someone who is so used to purchasing her Nail tools on sites such as eBay and Amazon, I was never sure what I was going to get in the post and if it was going to be any good. I kinda feel like these guys have mind-reading down to a Tee as after using one of these during my Pedicure training I did want to buy one to use during my assessments… so thanks guys!

Foot files are great for helping to remove hard skin and get your feet ready for Flip Flop season and this one is such great quality I will definitely be buying this again.

And how do I sign up?

On the website, there’s a range of different subscription options; the longer the subscription period, the bigger the discount! I initially signed up for One month but after receiving June’s box I am definitely signing up for more 🙂

Don’t forget to sign up before the 10th of every month in order to receive your box 5 days later!

Personally I am so pleased that I have found them as I am currently working on my Nail Treatments qualification and I am really looking forward to using these products when completing my Case Studies!

Let’s see what the next Box brings, I can’t wait!
